The Mercedes-Benz 230GE is one of the most iconic off-road vehicles ever built — a purpose-driven, open-air machine with genuine provenance and timeless character. The Banyan Edition takes this legend and reimagines it at the highest level, combining classic G-Wagen bones with a bespoke powertrain and hand-selected appointments that make this one of the most compelling restomods available today.

At the heart of this build is an AMG tech-tuned 2.8L V4 naturally aspirated engine producing approximately 230 HP — a proprietary solution engineered specifically for Banyan Motors by an AMG master technician. Every critical component, from the cylinder heads and cylinders to the crankshaft, is custom-produced by Mahle in Germany, ensuring precision, reliability, and a driving character that is entirely unique to this edition.

Finished in Monza Grey Magno — a striking matte finish that gives the G-Wagen a purposeful, understated presence — the exterior is complemented by a Chocolate soft top and matching chocolate interior. The combination is cohesive and elegant, referencing the original G-Wagen's utilitarian roots while delivering a refined, bespoke aesthetic.

Inside, the cabin is appointed with a Nardi wood steering wheel, premium multimedia system, and bucket seats with rear jump seats — a configuration that balances driver focus with versatility. The vehicle is equipped with full air conditioning, ensuring comfort whether navigating coastal roads or venturing off-road. Automated running boards provide effortless entry and exit, while the 2" lift and upgraded tires expand the off-road capability of an already legendary platform.

The build is completed with a brushed front guard and light guards, both adding protection and a distinctive visual presence that signals this is no ordinary 230 GE. Premium black wheels round out the exterior, completing a cohesive and purposeful aesthetic from every angle
